Rifaxa 550mg Tablets 10’s prevents episodes of hepatic encephalopathy. Changes in thinking, behavior, and personality caused by a build-up of toxins in the brain in people who have liver disease. In adults that have liver disease and to treat irritable bowel syndrome (with diarrhea) in adults.
Is rifaximin safe for liver?
- Rifaximin could theoretically prevent SBP in patients with liver cirrhosis by reducing gut bacteria. One retrospective study on 404 patients with liver cirrhosis and large ascites classified patients into two groups based on the use of rifaximin.
