Pepto Bismal Tablets 24’s is an antacid. Bismuth subsalicylate is the main active ingredient in Pepto Bismol. It is an antacid medication that also works to lower inflammation in the digestive system.
- These Pepto-Bismol tablets also control diarrhoea. The active ingredient in these peppermint flavoured chewable tablets is bismuth subsalicylate.
- Children under 16 should not take Pepto-Bismol tablets due to a potential link between salicylates and Reye’s syndrome, a very rare but very serious disease.
