Description
Omastin Dry Suspension 50mg/5ml 35ml treats vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal & esophageal candidiasis and cryptococcal meningitis. Also, it treats urinary tract infection caused by candida, peritonitis and systemic candida infections.
-  This medicine works by preventing the formation of an enzyme (ergosterol) which is necessary for the synthesis of the fungal cell wall.
- Omastin is also used to treat fungal infection of mouth, throat, and pharynx. It is also used to treat brain and spinal cord infection (cryptococcal meningitis) in AIDS patients.
- Omastin is also used to prevent fungal infection in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
Omastin Dry Suspension 50mg/5ml 35ml is also used to treat urinary tract infection. Omastin is also used to treat inflammation of membrane that covers abdominal organs (peritonitis). Omastin Capsule is also used to treat pneumonia. Omastin is also used to treat fungal infection of the blood (candidemia).
