Lipitor 40mg Tablets 30’s contain atorvastatin. Atorvastatin helps in treating high cholesterol and high triglycerides. Lipitor tablets belongs to a group of drugs known as statins.
It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) required in the body to make cholesterol. It, therefore, lowers “bad” cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises “good” cholesterol.
