Description
Floxapen 250 mg Capsules contains flucloxacillin which is used in the treatement of various bacterial infections due to staphylococci resistant to benzylpenicillin.
Flucloxacillin treats:
- boils,
- Infected burns/wounds,
- abscesses, and Otitis media.
- Also, it treats Pneumonia, Tonsillitis, Sinusitis, Pharyngitis, Lung abscess, Meningitis, and Urinary tract infection.
Flucloxacillin is given parenterally and by mouth as the sodium or magnesium salt. Oral doses should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals as the presence of food in the stomach reduces absorption.
